Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped a frightening shooting incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area after three motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at his car on Sunday evening, October 18. The incident has triggered a major police investigation after individuals claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang reportedly took responsibility for the attack and issued fresh threats against personalities associated with the Hindi film industry.
According to reports, the actor escaped without serious injuries, although his driver and another person were injured in the firing. Mumbai Police has formed 15 teams to trace the suspects, examine evidence and establish the circumstances surrounding the attack. The incident has renewed concerns about threats against Bollywood celebrities and the security of public figures in Mumbai.
Three Motorcycle-Borne Assailants Open Fire in Juhu
The shooting took place near Pushpa Park, also known as Jamnabai Nursery, in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening. Tiger Shroff was reportedly returning after attending a gathering when three unidentified men on a motorcycle allegedly targeted the vehicle carrying him and his driver.
According to media reports, multiple rounds were fired at the car before the attackers fled the scene. The sudden gunfire caused panic in the surrounding area, with people scrambling for safety as the assailants escaped.
The actor survived the attack, but the incident left others injured. His driver sustained a gunshot wound to his hand, while another person, identified in reports as a bystander, also suffered a bullet injury.
The injured were taken to hospitals for medical treatment. Initial reports indicated that their conditions were stable, although authorities continued to investigate the full sequence of events.
The incident has raised serious questions about the safety of film personalities, particularly amid repeated threats and reported attacks involving organised criminal networks.
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Members Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu Under Scanner
The investigation has brought two alleged operatives associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, into the spotlight.
Shortly after the shooting, a social media post and an audio message attributed to individuals claiming to represent the gang surfaced, with claims of responsibility for the attack. The messages reportedly suggested that Tiger Shroff had been targeted because of his association with actor Salman Khan.
However, the authenticity of these claims and the precise involvement of the individuals named in them remain matters for investigators to establish. A claim made by a criminal group on social media does not, by itself, prove responsibility for an attack.
Pandit and Sandhu have also been linked in media reports to other alleged criminal activities in Delhi and Punjab. Investigators are expected to examine whether the Juhu shooting is connected to previous incidents or forms part of a wider pattern of threats directed at entertainment industry figures.
The case has drawn particular attention because of the alleged gang’s previous threats against Bollywood personalities and its reported use of social media messages to claim responsibility for violent incidents.
Mumbai Police Forms 15 Teams to Track Down Attackers
Mumbai Police has launched an extensive investigation into the shooting, deploying 15 teams to identify and apprehend those responsible.

Investigators are examining CCTV footage from the area, collecting forensic evidence and attempting to reconstruct the attackers’ movements before and after the incident. The evidence is expected to help establish the identities of the suspects, their escape route and the circumstances that led to the firing.
Police are also investigating the reported online claims of responsibility to determine whether they can be independently linked to the people who carried out the attack.
The authorities have not yet publicly established every detail of the motive or the identities of all those involved. Officials are continuing to piece together the sequence of events as part of the investigation.
The speed and scale of the police response underline the seriousness of the case, which involves an alleged attack on a prominent actor in a busy Mumbai neighbourhood.
Eknath Shinde Meets Tiger Shroff, Assures Strict Action
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Tiger Shroff following the incident and assured the actor and his family that the state government would take the matter seriously.
Shinde condemned the attack and reiterated that threats against public figures would not be tolerated. According to reports, the actor sustained minor injuries caused by shattered glass and other debris, while the experience left him and his family shaken.
The state government’s response comes amid growing scrutiny of security arrangements for celebrities and other prominent individuals following reported incidents involving threats and gunfire.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also sought details of the incident from the Mumbai Police leadership and directed authorities to expedite the investigation and take strict action against those responsible.
Fresh Concerns Over Threats Against Bollywood Celebrities
The shooting has renewed concerns over the safety of members of the Hindi film industry, following previous incidents involving threats and gunfire.
In February 2026, gunshots were reportedly fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai’s Juhu area. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for that incident, according to media reports.
In April 2024, two motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. Investigators subsequently arrested several suspects in connection with that case, which has been linked to the gang.
These incidents have intensified concerns about the methods used by organised criminal groups to intimidate celebrities, particularly through threats circulated online and attacks intended to attract public attention.
For the film industry, the latest shooting has again highlighted the challenges of protecting prominent personalities while they travel through public spaces and attend private gatherings.
Investigation Continues as Police Pursue Key Leads
The immediate priority for Mumbai Police remains identifying the shooters, determining the motive and verifying the alleged gang’s claims. Investigators must establish whether the attack was directed specifically at Tiger Shroff and whether other individuals were involved in planning or facilitating the incident.
The inquiry is also expected to examine digital evidence, eyewitness accounts and footage from nearby locations to corroborate the available information.
Although Tiger Shroff escaped the shooting without serious injuries, the incident has raised alarm because of the risk posed to people nearby. The injuries suffered by his driver and another individual underline the potential consequences of firing weapons in a crowded urban area.
As the investigation progresses, the case will remain under close scrutiny from the public and the entertainment industry. The outcome could provide important answers about the attackers’ identities, the alleged threats and the circumstances behind the shooting.
For now, police efforts are focused on bringing those responsible to justice and establishing the facts behind an incident that has once again placed celebrity security and organised crime in Mumbai under the spotlight.
