NEW DELHI: Actress and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata received a major boost ahead of its release after Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the film would be tax-free in the national capital.
The announcement came during a special screening of the film held in Delhi as part of a nationwide campaign to honour unsung heroes who contribute to society through their service and dedication.
Scheduled for theatrical release on June 12, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata has been travelling across several cities, including Bhubaneswar and Raipur, before arriving in Delhi. The initiative aims to recognize frontline workers and individuals whose contributions often go unnoticed despite their critical role during emergencies and in everyday life.
At the Delhi screening, Kangana Ranaut and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta jointly honoured several real-life heroes from the city. The selected individuals were presented with special Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata badges in recognition of their commitment to public service. Among those felicitated were Nishi Pathak, Pushpa, Suman, Menaka, Namrata Yadav, Niti Sharma, B.K. Khurana, and Shashi Lal.
The event was attended by several senior political leaders and dignitaries, including Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary, Minister of State for Health and AYUSH Pratap Rao Jadhav, Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh, and Delhi Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood.
Addressing the gathering, Kangana expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for attending the screening and supporting the film. She praised the Delhi government’s efforts under Gupta’s leadership and thanked her for readily accepting the invitation despite a busy schedule. Kangana also acknowledged the presence of fellow parliamentarians and dignitaries who attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Rekha Gupta lauded Kangana Ranaut for using cinema as a medium to highlight important social issues and national values. She described the actress as a strong voice in Parliament and appreciated her choice of subjects that celebrate patriotism and public service.
The Chief Minister said the film conveys a powerful message that dedication to the nation is not limited to those in uniform. According to her, every citizen has the potential to contribute to the country’s progress and welfare, and the true “Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata” are the ordinary people who step forward when the nation needs them the most.
The makers of the film have launched a unique outreach campaign across India, inviting workers from various sectors for special screenings. The initiative focuses on recognising individuals such as police personnel, nurses, ward staff, hospital security guards, sanitation workers, cleaners, and support staff whose efforts often remain outside the spotlight.
By honouring these frontline contributors, the campaign seeks to underline the film’s central theme of selfless service and collective responsibility. The screenings are designed not only to promote the movie but also to celebrate people whose work strengthens society at the grassroots level.
Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios and is produced by PEN Studios, Manikarnika Films, and Paramhans Creations in association with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt.
