HARIDWAR: A grand three-day consecration ceremony (Pran Pratishtha) of what organisers describe as the world’s largest 5,211-kilogram Parad Shivling concluded at Shri Sai Shiv Ganga Dham in Haridwar. The event witnessed the participation of more than 2,000 devotees, saints, spiritual seekers and distinguished guests from different parts of the country.

The massive Parad Shivling has been created by meditation teacher Raghunath Guruji after nearly a decade of research, spiritual practice and extensive study related to Parad science, an ancient Indian tradition associated with purified mercury and spiritual symbolism.

A Decade-Long Spiritual Project

According to the organisers, the Shivling was developed over ten years through a combination of traditional knowledge, experimentation and meditation practices. The structure incorporates mercury, silver, gold and extracts from 108 different herbs.

Supporters of the project have described it as the largest Parad Shivling ever created and a representation of India’s spiritual heritage combined with scientific inquiry and meditative traditions. The initiative is intended to inspire spiritual awareness while promoting a broader message of global harmony and human well-being.

Grand Ceremony Rooted in Ancient Traditions

The Pran Pratishtha rituals were performed following traditional Vedic customs under the blessings of spiritual leaders associated with the Guru Gorakhnath tradition. Revered spiritual figures and scholars guided various ceremonies conducted over three days.

The event was held with the objective of spreading messages of world peace, positive energy and collective welfare. The atmosphere throughout the programme was marked by continuous Vedic chanting, devotional activities and meditation sessions.

Thousands of devotees gathered at the venue to witness the installation and seek blessings during the elaborate religious proceedings.

More Than a Religious Symbol

Speaking during the event, Raghunath Guruji said the Parad Shivling should not be viewed solely as a sacred object of worship but also as a centre for meditation, introspection and positive transformation.

He stated that years of dedicated effort had gone into creating a structure that encourages individuals to connect with inner peace and higher consciousness. According to him, the initiative carries a message of spiritual awakening that extends beyond religious boundaries.

He also highlighted his previous social and spiritual initiatives, including a large Ashwamedh Yagya organised in 2019 that reportedly brought together around 10,000 participants.

Spiritual Discourses and Community Participation

The three-day festival featured multiple activities designed to engage participants spiritually and socially.

Programmes included:

  • Vedic mantra recitations
  • Yajnas and sacred fire rituals
  • Meditation sessions
  • Spiritual discourses
  • Devotional gatherings
  • Community interactions

Many attendees described the occasion as a celebration of unity, faith and social harmony rather than merely a religious event.

Eminent Saints and Public Figures Attend

Several prominent saints, spiritual leaders and public personalities were present during the ceremony.

The attendees included Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Ji Maharaj, Shri Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj, Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj, Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, Swami Ravindra Puri Ji Maharaj, spiritual teacher Acharya Manish Ji of HIIMS, Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha, State Minister and Ganga Sabha President Nitin Gautam, along with representatives from various religious and social organisations.

Their presence added significance to the event and reflected support from diverse sections of society.

Key Role Played by Organisers and Volunteers

Industrialist and philanthropist Rajeev Bansal played an important role in coordinating the event’s arrangements and logistics.

Addressing the gathering, he said participating in the project was an opportunity for service and devotion inspired by his faith in Sai Baba. He described the experience as a meaningful contribution to a larger spiritual mission.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Raghunath Guruji thanked devotees, volunteers, organisers and supporters who helped manage the large-scale event. Special appreciation was extended to Rajeev Bansal and several other contributors for ensuring the successful execution of the programme.

Focus on Social Welfare Beyond Spirituality

Apart from spiritual activities, Raghunath Guruji is associated with several social welfare initiatives focusing on disability empowerment, women farmers’ development, environmental awareness and innovation-driven community programmes.

One of the key initiatives highlighted during the event was the work being undertaken through the Divyang Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCAI). The organisation aims to create self-employment opportunities and strengthen the economic independence of persons with disabilities across India.

Officials associated with the initiative said empowering marginalised communities remains an important aspect of their broader mission.

Message of Global Harmony

The ceremony concluded with a collective message emphasising peace, unity and universal welfare.

Organisers reiterated the philosophy that meditation leads to peace, peace leads to harmony and harmony ultimately contributes to global well-being.

For many participants, the event represented a convergence of spirituality, social service, traditional knowledge and community participation. The installation of the massive Parad Shivling was viewed not only as a landmark religious occasion but also as an attempt to inspire dialogue around inner transformation and collective progress.
