Urdu Literary Fraternity Gathers For Launch Of Krishna Bihari Noor’s “Mann Murshid”

NEW DELHI: A grand launch ceremony for “Mann Murshid,” the collected works of renowned Urdu poet Krishna Bihari Noor, was organized by Ibarat Publication in collaboration with Anjuman Taraqqi-e-Urdu (Hind) at Urdu Ghar, New Delhi. Eminent scholars, writers, poets, critics, and journalists attended the event and paid tribute to Noor’s lasting contribution to Urdu literature.

Distinguished Guests Attend the Literary Event

The programme was presided over by noted fiction writer Bal Swarup Rahi, while Prof. Akhtarul Wasey, Masood Usmani, and Kunwar Arun Kumar attended as chief guests. The proceedings were conducted by Dr. Shafi Ayub.

Bal Swarup Rahi Highlights Noor’s Literary Excellence

In his presidential address, Bal Swarup Rahi highlighted Krishna Bihari Noor’s literary excellence and recited one of his own well-known poems, which was warmly appreciated by the audience.

Prof. Akhtarul Wasey Praises the Publication

Prof. Akhtarul Wasey said that Krishna Bihari Noor kept the spirit of Urdu alive through his poetry. He thanked Adil Zaidi, Moin Shadab, Salamuddin Khan, and everyone involved in making the publication possible. He also praised editor Moin Shadab for compiling a work that, in his words, the Urdu literary community should have undertaken much earlier.

Tributes to Krishna Bihari Noor’s Legacy

Kunwar Arun Kumar fondly remembered his father and described the publication as an important effort to preserve Krishna Bihari Noor’s literary legacy.

Eminent Persian scholar Prof. Akhlaq Aahan congratulated the editor and publisher, describing “Mann Murshid” as a valuable addition to Urdu literature and appreciating its meaningful title.

Critic Haqqani Al-Qasmi remarked that “a person who gives new life to forgotten words never truly dies; he lives forever through his writings.” He also acknowledged the dedicated efforts of Moin Shadab and Salamuddin Khan in completing the volume.

Organisers Appreciate Contributors

Conducting the programme, Dr. Shafi Ayub welcomed the guests and appreciated the contributions of Adil Zaidi, Moin Shadab, Salamuddin Khan, and Ibarat Publication. He informed the audience that although Adil Zaidi could not attend as he was staying abroad, his recorded audio message was played during the programme.

The speakers unanimously described “Mann Murshid” as an invaluable contribution to Urdu literature and an enduring record of Krishna Bihari Noor’s poetic legacy.
