The Publications Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has achieved a major recognition in India’s publishing sector by securing seven honours at the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) Awards for Excellence in Book Production 2026. The awards recognise the division’s contribution to quality publishing across Hindi, English and Urdu.
The recognition highlights the editorial quality, diversity and presentation standards of books, journals and reference publications produced by the Publications Division. The achievement also underlines the government publishing body’s continued efforts to provide readers with credible, informative and culturally enriching material.
Four Second Prizes for Outstanding Publications
The Publications Division secured four Second Prizes across different categories. ‘Bharat 2026’, published in Hindi, won the Second Prize in the Reference Books – Hindi category.
‘Wings to Our Hopes – Volume 2’ received the Second Prize in the General and Trade Books – English category. The publication was recognised for its contribution to the English-language publishing segment.
Another major recognition came for the Hindi edition of ‘Yojana’ for July 2026. The issue, themed ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’, won the Second Prize in the Journals and House Magazines – Hindi category.
‘Kurukshetra – A Rural Development Monthly Since 1952’ also secured a Second Prize in the Journals and House Magazines – English category. The recognition reflects the continuing relevance of publications focusing on rural development and national progress.
Three Publications Receive Third Prizes
The Publications Division also secured three Third Prizes in specialised categories.

‘Dharti Ki Sehat’ won the Third Prize in the Children’s Books – General Interest category for children aged 0–10 years. The recognition highlights the division’s efforts to create meaningful and informative content for young readers.
‘Rangoli Roop Sur Lay Ki’ received the Third Prize in the Art and Coffee Table Books – Hindi category. The publication was recognised in a segment that celebrates artistic presentation and high-quality visual publishing.
Meanwhile, ‘Ajkal Urdu – July 2026’ secured the Third Prize in the Journals and House Magazines – Indian Languages (Urdu) category. The honour further demonstrates the division’s multilingual publishing strength.
Seven Awards Reflect Publishing Excellence
According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the seven awards comprise four Second Prizes and three Third Prizes. The achievement reflects the Publications Division’s continued commitment to editorial excellence, quality production and diversity of content.

Dr. Dhiraj Kakadia, Director General of the Publications Division, felicitated the editors associated with the award-winning books and journals. He also congratulated the officers and personnel whose collective efforts contributed to the achievement.
Dr. Kakadia said the seven awards demonstrate the hard work, dedication and excellence of the division’s officers and personnel. He added that the recognition would encourage the organisation to continue producing high-quality, credible and useful content.
He further emphasised the division’s commitment to reaching readers through outstanding books and journals in Hindi, English and Urdu. These publications, he noted, carry important ideas and perspectives connected with knowledge, literature, culture and national development.
