India has strongly condemned the defacement of its Embassy premises in Ljubljana, Slovenia, allegedly carried out by anti-India elements. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has taken up the matter firmly with Slovenian authorities and demanded that those responsible be identified and held accountable.
The incident has triggered a sharp diplomatic response from New Delhi, with the MEA stressing that diplomatic missions enjoy special protection under international law. The ministry also warned against hateful propaganda and disinformation targeting India.
MEA Calls Embassy Defacement ‘Reprehensible’
The MEA said the premises of the Indian Embassy in Ljubljana were defaced by individuals described as “anti-India elements.” New Delhi made it clear that such an incident was unacceptable and required an appropriate response from the host country.
