Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) hosted the grand Silver Jubilee celebration marking the 25th foundation day of the National Organisation of Insurance Officers (NOINO) Class-I and the All India Life Insurance Employees Association (AILIEA) at the Life Prakash Building on Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi.
The event brought together a large number of LIC officers and employees, with discussions focusing on long-pending service-related concerns, pension reforms, promotion policies, working conditions and organisational facilities.
Trivendra Singh Rawat Attends Silver Jubilee Celebration
The programme was attended by Haridwar Lok Sabha MP and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat as the chief guest. Dr Deependra Chahar, General Secretary of the Delhi Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), was present as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, representatives of NOINO and AILIEA highlighted several issues affecting LIC officers, employees and pensioners. They sought intervention from the government and LIC management for time-bound action on their demands.
The organisers said the Silver Jubilee event was not only a celebration of the organisation’s 25-year journey but also an occasion to reiterate their commitment to protecting the legitimate interests of LIC personnel.
NOINO Seeks Timely Salary Revision From 2027
NOINO General Secretary Pancham Singh Rawat called for the next wage revision, due from August 1, 2027, to be implemented within the calendar year itself.
He also demanded periodic revision of the basic pension of LIC pensioners, arguing that pension-related benefits should remain aligned with changing economic conditions and the long-term interests of retired employees.
Among the other demands raised were restoration of a seniority-based system in promotions and the removal of the interview component from the promotion process.
The organisation also sought specific changes in working conditions for marketing officers. It demanded an eight-hour working schedule and weekly holidays on Saturdays and Sundays for employees working in marketing-related positions.
Organisation Seeks Office Space for NOINO
Another key issue raised during the programme was the availability of office accommodation for the organisation.
NOINO representatives said other unions operating within LIC have been provided office facilities, while their organisation has yet to receive dedicated office space. They appealed for an early allocation of suitable premises so that the organisation could carry out its activities effectively.

AILIEA representative Pramod Rana also raised employee-related concerns and reiterated the demand for office accommodation for the organisation.
The representatives stressed that resolving workplace and organisational issues would help improve coordination between employees, unions and the management.
BMS Promises Support for Legitimate Demands
Dr Deependra Chahar assured the gathering that the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh would extend its support to the legitimate demands of LIC officers and employees.
He said the organisation would raise the issues before the appropriate authorities, including LIC management and the government, and work towards securing a constructive resolution.
The statement was seen as an indication of continued organisational support for employees seeking improvements in service conditions and retirement benefits.
Trivendra Rawat Assures Discussion With LIC Management
Chief guest Trivendra Singh Rawat received the memorandum submitted by the organisations and assured the representatives that their concerns would be taken up with the relevant authorities.
Rawat said he would make efforts to discuss issues related to wage revision, basic pension revision, promotions, transfers and office allocation with LIC management and the Government of India.
He assured the gathering that he would make sincere efforts to facilitate a positive resolution of the issues raised by the employees and officers.
The assurance provided a significant moment during the Silver Jubilee celebration, as several of the demands relate directly to the professional and financial interests of serving employees and pensioners.
Focus on LIC’s Future Challenges and Growth
The programme was conducted by Sujeet Kumar, Executive President of NOINO’s Northern Zone. During his address, he discussed the challenges facing LIC in the evolving insurance market and underlined the importance of strengthening the corporation’s business growth.
He also highlighted the need for organisations representing officers and employees to remain responsive to emerging challenges while continuing to safeguard the interests of the workforce.
The 25th foundation day celebration concluded with a vote of thanks to the chief guest, special guest, office-bearers, employees and other participants.
The Silver Jubilee event thus combined a celebration of NOINO and AILIEA’s 25-year journey with a renewed push for reforms concerning LIC salary revision, pension benefits, promotions, working hours, transfers and organisational facilities.
