The fragile security situation in the Middle East deteriorated further on Sunday after Iran announced missile and drone attacks targeting American military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain. The strikes came just hours after the United States conducted another round of airstrikes against Iranian military infrastructure, marking a dangerous new phase in the confrontation between Washington and Tehran.
According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), its aerospace and naval forces jointly carried out the attacks against what it described as US military positions in both Gulf nations.
