NEW DELHI: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has strongly condemned the alleged theft and financial irregularities related to offerings made at the Ram Temple, calling the incident a serious betrayal of the faith of millions of devotees. In a strongly worded statement, she urged authorities to conduct a transparent and impartial investigation and ensure that everyone involved in the alleged wrongdoing is brought to justice.
Priyanka Gandhi said that Lord Ram, revered as Maryada Purushottam, represents the ideals of truth, righteousness, and moral conduct. She noted that millions of devotees across the country visit the temple with deep faith, offering prayers and donations as an expression of their devotion. According to her, any act of theft or misappropriation involving these sacred offerings is not merely a financial crime but a direct assault on the religious sentiments of countless people.
She stated that the alleged act of theft and deception had shocked the entire nation because it involved a place of immense spiritual significance.
