A major security scare unfolded at Rajarshi Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College in Ayodhya after a handwritten document allegedly containing instructions for making an explosive device was discovered inside the institution. The recovery of the suspicious note prompted an immediate police response, leading to the detention of a first-year medical student and questioning of two others who were reportedly present during the same duty shift. Authorities have clarified that the investigation is still at an early stage and no criminal motive has been officially established so far.
Suspicious document triggers swift police action
According to officials, the handwritten document was found in the X-ray room of the medical college by the department in charge during routine work on Saturday. The contents of the paper allegedly included references to materials commonly associated with the preparation of explosive devices.
Recognising the seriousness of the discovery, the college administration immediately informed the local police. Security personnel and investigators reached the campus shortly afterward and secured the document for forensic examination. The incident has raised concerns within the institution, prompting authorities to tighten surveillance across the campus while ensuring that normal academic activities continue without disruption.
First-year student detained, two others questioned
Initial investigations reportedly pointed towards a first-year MBBS student who had been assigned duty in the X-ray room on the previous night. Based on preliminary findings, police detained the student for questioning to determine the origin and purpose of the document.
