NEW DELHI: The Central government has rejected Meta’s explanation for the brief removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video from Facebook, saying the company’s response is “not reasonable” and that the matter remains “far from settled.” The development has escalated into a significant issue between the government and the social media giant, with officials demanding a more detailed explanation of what led to the incident.
The controversy began after a video posted on Prime Minister Modi’s official Facebook account was unexpectedly taken down.
